After making the blockbuster deal, by sending Jrue Holiday to New Orleans for #6 pick, PF/C Nerlens Noel and next year's 1st round pick.  The Sixers were left with a gaping hole at point guard, but filled the position by selecting Michael Carter-Williams.  Many scouts believe he has the most upside of all the propsects at his position, so we shall see.

There was already many rumors that this pick would be traded to another team, and it turned out to come to fruition with the Mavericks making this selection for the Boston Celtics.  He should be able to provide frontcourt scoring for a young Boston team looking to rebuild and possibly win next years Wiggins Lottery.  Dallas appears to be all in, on trying to acquire Dwight Howard.  It appears likely that Howard will be playing for a team in Texas, between Dallas and Houston.

13. DALLAS MAVERICKS  -

The Thunder desperately wanted to address their frontcourt situation and selected who they felt had the most upside of the remaining frontcourt players available.  Even though Steven Adams was one of the top prep players entering college and despite that many mocks had him as a potential top 10 pick or late lottery pick, I really believe this was probably a reach for someone with such a raw game.  They would love to get rid of Kendrick Perkins, but they are simply stuck with him, so the hope is Adams can fill the void left by Perkins deficiencies.

I don't know if too many people saw this coming, but Nogueira must have made a great impression on the teams he worked out for.  This selection was ultimately used for the Atlanta Hawks with Dallas trading down from Boston's selection.

16. BOSTON CELTICS  -

The youngest and mysterious player in this draft.  He is probably at least another year away from contributing to the Bucks in any capacity.  Has some potential and Milwaukee is definitely taking a risk selecting such an unknown commodity this early in the draft, but a high-risk, high-reward player.  He has been compared to Nicolas Batum because of his ball-handling and vision on the court as a point-forward, so we will see.

15. MILWAUKEE BUCKS  -

This selection was made for Minnesota, who appeared to be very intrigued by the wing player out of UCLA.  They were able to swing deal with Jazz to acquire the rights to both of their selections.

19. CLEVELAND CAVALIERS  -

The Bulls didn't have a lot of options to spread to floor and present and outside shooter beyond the arc.  Tony Snell should provide that threat along with good ball-handling and athleticism from the small forward position.

20. CHICAGO BULLS  -

The Cavs, ultimately, end up getting their man without having to trade up.  Karasev promptly showed up for draft night and then had to take a flight, that same night, back to Russia to prepare for another game.  Has a very good basketball I.Q. and provides a shooter to spread the floor for the Cavs backcourt in Irving and Waiters.

The Hawks draft two point guards in a row and one wonders if former Minnesota GM, David Kahn migrated to Atlanta.  But this selection was actually made for the Dallas Mavericks.  They needed more depth at the point guard position and fills the need with the athletic point man from Miami.

18. ATLANTA HAWKS  -

This probably spells the end of PG Jeff Teague's tenure as the lead guard of the future for Atlanta.  The Hawks get a very long and athletic point man that has continuously been compared to Rajon Rondo.
